Joe’s life began April 18, 1936, in Coloma. He was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Coloma High School. Joe was a farmer all his life and also worked at the Watervliet Paper Mill and Vail Rubber in St. Joseph. Farming was his lifelong hobby and taking care of and providing for his family, especially his wife, was his passion.
Joe found his greatest joy spending time with his loving family which includes: his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Joyce (Murray) Faraone; three children: Steven Faraone of Coloma, Thomas Faraone of Orlando, Fla., and Julie (Andrew) Milanowski of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Margo Milanowski; a brother, John Faraone; and many nieces and nephews.
Joe died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Faraone; parents, Joseph and Vita (Aleo) Faraone; and siblings, Jenny Greco, Frances Redlick and Vince Racina.
Friends may visit with Joe’s family from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, with recitation of Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet.
