Judith Andres Obituary

Judith Ann Andres was born Jan. 15th, 1947 to Mary Wendzel, raised by beloved step-father Elmer Wendzel. Her Smith/Wendzel heritage created strong connections in the local farming community where she met her husband, James (Jim) Andres. The couple started a family and resided in Coloma where Judy worked as a secretary and filled many roles at Salem Lutheran Church. Judy was actively involved in the PTO and cultivated many friendships. She retired from Brandywine Creek’s Creative Dining where she enjoyed beautifying spaces and caring for people for many years.

Judy was a treasured friend and incredible mother, she is survived by her sons: Joshua (Mary Gilliam) Andres, Joel (Jesicca Riche) Andres. Although her time was not long with her most her precious gifts, her grandchildren: Quay, Zay, Cohen, Elle and namesake Jude Everly Andres they will carry on her legacy of family first and strong friendships. Her nieces, Sally (Douglass) Dupuie and Jackie Adams are more like daughters and active caregivers, along with her dear friends, Judy Phillipi and Lorretta Hutchins. Marcia Molter, was Judy’s Ethel to her Lucy, and primary caregiver. Judy waited for Marcia, in the end, for her peaceful goodbye on October 3rd 2022.

Judy was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Barb Adams, and nephew, Douglass Adams. She is also survived by her two brothers, William “Bill” (Julie) Smith, and James “Jim” (Carolyn) Smith, niece Cara, nephews Stephen, Jason, and Cory, a great nephew who was more like a grandson, Reid Adams and several more great nieces and nephews she held dear.
