Marge’s life began September 14, 1938 in Joliet, Illinois. She was one of four children born to Albert and Mary (Kovac) Howe. She spent much of her life in Illinois, where she met Peter Mannino while out with friends one evening. She and Pete eventually married and raised four amazing children together. In 1965, Pete and his young family moved to Southwest Michigan where Pete had grown up. Marge worked as a secretary for many years at various businesses in Watervliet including Watervliet Fruit Exchange, Gargano’s Carpets, and Watervliet Cleaners. Outside of work Marge bowled in leagues for several years, enjoyed sewing, yard work, and playing yard games at gatherings. She loved music and enjoyed sharing her gift of singing and playing the piano through performing with her husband and friends and being a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet’s choir. Above everything Marge enjoyed her large loving family and gathering them together with friends.
Marge’s loving family she leaves behind to cherish her memory includes: her husband Pete Mannino; four children Kathy (Mike) Marvin, Reneè (Jerry) Hook, Pete (Beth) Mannino, Bill (Rhonda) Mannino; eight grandchildren Kristin, Michael, Brittany, Kourtney, Austin, Matthew, Joey, and Daniel; eight great grandchildren; a brother Albert Howe; and several nieces and nephews.
