Rich’s life began November 14, 1945 in Brookfield, Illinois. His family were long time residents of Brookfield. Rich’s dad started Buresh’s Lobster House in Brookfield in 1949 and ran it until Rich took over in 1982. Rich loved running the restaurant for the next several years when he retired in 2000. Rich was very active in the community of Brookfield through various clubs and organizations including; Brookfield LA Grange Park Lions Club, West Suburban Sertoma Club, Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, and Brookfield Liquor Dealers Association. During his years of service he earned many awards and held leadership positions such as; Lions Club Melvin Jones Award, Sertoma Club Man of the Year, Chamber of Commerce Many of the Year, and Past President of Brookfield Liquor Dealers Association. Rich was proudly a lifelong Chicago White Sox and Chicago Blackhawks fan. After retiring from the restaurant Rich and Sue traveled and purchased a home in Coloma. Rich loved Paw Paw lake and they made it their permanent residence just a few years ago.
