Billy’s life began May 30, 1930 in Rector, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a combat medic after graduating high school. After the service he worked at the Watervliet Paper Mill, Auto Specialties, and Lane Automotive. Billy enjoyed race cars, go karts, and spending time with his family.
Twila’s life began June 4, 1924 in Watervliet. She was a lifetime area resident and worked at the Watervliet Paper Mill. She loved attending church and spending time with her family.
Billy died March 31, at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation and Twila died April 17, at home. They are survived by a loving family which includes: two sons Tim McCoy of Bangor and Jonas McGowan of Hartford; a daughter Gloria Palmer of Yuma, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; Billy’s siblings Rudy and Bob McCoy both of Benton Harbor, Hildred Saxman of Berrien Springs, Glenda Taylor of Keeler, and Martha Molter of Benton Harbor; Twila’s two sisters Dixie Tischler and Deloris Ball both of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Billy and Twila are preceded in death by; their parents Ollie and Ethel (Glass) McCoy and Harry and Bula (Munger) Brooks, and siblings June Alton, Janet Wiley and Richard Brooks.
A memorial service will be celebrated, Saturday, April 29, at 11:00 AM with visitation prior starting at 10:00 AM at Central Assembly of God in Coloma.
