Bill’s life began September 17, 1941 in East Chicago, Indiana. He grew up in Southwest Michigan and graduated from Eau Claire High School. Bill drove truck for several years for Coca Cola Company, Pepsi, and Royal Crown Cola. After driving truck he became a Real Estate Broker and owned Epple Reality with his wife Sherry for many years. Bill will be remembered for being a very active member of the Watervliet Community through the Lion’s Club, athletic boosters, and chairing the Miss Watervliet pageant for many years alongside his wife Sherry.
Bill leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including; two children Bryan Epple and Debra (Epple) Morlock and her husband Jeff, five grandchildren Michael Epple, Marcus Epple, Melissa Morlock and her husband Kyle Weber, Stephanie Morlock and her husband Ryan Hafer, Amanda Morlock-Fisher and her husband Clyde Fisher, seven great grandchildren, a brother Jack (Sherry) Epple, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill died Saturday, March 17, at Hansen Hospice Center in Stevensville. His wife Sharon Epple, infant grandson Thomas Epple, and parents William and Evelyn Epple precede Bill in death. Friends may visit with Bill’s family Wednesday, March 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Bill will be buried with a private service in Kniebes Cemetery.
